We have some very exciting news to share…we have won the TeachPrimary Award 2025 for Health and Wellbeing!
This award is so special to us. What started as an idea in the classroom, led by Olivia Richards, has grown from its humble beginnings to an organisation supporting 1000s of children and staff in schools. The award reflects all the hard work and passion that has gone into creating this very special programme.

But it isn’t just The Story Project staff who have contributed to this wonderful achievement, it is also the funders who see our potential, our directors who guide us, the teachers who skillfully deliver lessons and the children who eagerly join in.

Collaboration is something we feel very strongly about; we want the programme to reflect what teachers, children and leaders really need in the classroom. So, for every person who has given their time and their support, we say a heartfelt thank you. The Story Project is what it is today – an award-winning wellbeing and PSHE programme – because of you.
We have been blown away by the competition and it feels amazing to be shoulder-to-shoulder with so many inspiring organisations included in this category and the amazing previous winners.
The judging criteria for the award looked at everything we do, concluding that our resources are, amongst other things;
In the judges’ own words, all the winning programmes work, save time and make teaching that little bit easier. They said “The materials are well thought out, evidence-based and easy for teachers to adapt, which makes it straightforward to embed” (read more about their thoughts here TeachPrimary Awards 2025)
We have always known this to be true – from our research and from our externally validated data from ImpactEd (2024), but to have it recognised by the TeachPrimary Award is a very special feeling.

Most importantly, the award recognises how valuable stories are in making a positive impact on children’s wellbeing. From first aid to emotions, online safety to empathy, our book-led programme is bringing PSHE and wellbeing education to life, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Thank you,
The Story Project Team
