We are a small but mighty social enterprise that cares passionately about every school.
We are driven by our collective experiences in education, grounded in the desire to make a difference and emboldened by our belief in the power of stories.
Secondary school teacher and Lead Practitioner for Wellbeing, Olivia Richards, founded The Story Project in 2016. Following a prestigious Churchill Fellowship, Olivia travelled to North American to see the impact of organisations using the power of stories to improve wellbeing.
Taking inspiration from the trip, she used her own teaching experience and the latest research to create a ready-to-use, fully mapped curriculum in partnership with schools.
Follow Olivia’s journey to creating and developing The Story Project with her research-backed approach to improving children’s wellbeing and literacy
Olivia, a secondary teacher and Wellbeing Lead for a Multi Academy Trust, is now the CEO and a PhD student, researching The Story Project.
As the driving force behind The Story Project, she guides its impact in schools.
Olivia spends her free time buried in books, always hunting for the next gem to add to the collection.
Education and Partnerships Lead
Laura, a former Deputy Head in an inner-city school, has since led an ITT organisation, supported school improvement nationwide, and facilitated NPQs and the ECF for Teaching School Hubs.
Using these skills, she leads our curriculum and school partnerships.
At home she walks her spaniels, is working her way through a TBR pile and is a padel addict!
Education Support Officer
Fiona spent 14 years in primary education in varied school business roles before moving into the charity sector. As a School Governor focused on education quality, she brings logistical insight to The Story Project’s operations.
At home, she enjoys reading, music, and fitting as much adventure in to life as possible!
