The Story Project

Our Funding in Bradford

Thanks to an incredible grant from SHINE Trust in 2024, we are working closely with schools in Bradford to bring The Story Project to children across the city.

Working Across the City

From 2024 to 2026, we will be working with between 50 and 100 schools to bring The Story Project in to classrooms.

Schools with over 23% pupil premium children will be eligible for a funded place. This comes with a complete set of books, staff training and the entire curriculum.

Programme Development

Participating schools will also have the chance to help shape the future of the programme. Taking part in evaluation with ImpactEd will allow teachers to give their feedback and thoughts.

It is an exciting project to be part of, as teachers can make a tangible difference to how The Story Project develops.

Ongoing Impact

Interim results have already been published and the results are very promising! The external evaluation has shown that:

– Children have a better understanding of emotions and wellbeing

– Pupils are better at handling and expressing their emotions

– Children are becoming more empathetic

– Pupils are more confident and open in talking about their emotions and sensitive subjects

– Teachers feel more confident in learning wellbeing/PSHE/RSE lessons

– Teachers feel more confident in supporting their pupils’ wellbeing
