Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow a book by Gabrielle Zevin. (bookshop.org)

We loved this book, but we’ve heard mixed reviews from friends. However, if you’re looking for an alternative summer romance novel that doesn’t follow the curve – you can’t go wrong with this in our opinion.

Strong Female Character: Nero Book Awards Winner a book by Fern Brady. (bookshop.org)

This book’s many accolades is well-deserved; portraying an authentic and raw account of Fern’s experience as an autistic woman growing up in Scotland. It will make you cry and laugh in equal measure, and whether you are an autistic person or not it will give you a new found understanding of the way we treat neurodiverse people.

Wanderlust: The Passenger (bookshop.org)

The Passenger is a collection of stunning books that serve as an ode to wanderlust and travel. Once you buy one, you’ll want to own them all; such is the intricacy and depth of the photography and articles they contain. Perfect as a pre-lude to a holiday but also serves as a way to explore some of the world’s most beautiful places without stepping foot in an airport.

The Salt Path: The prize-winning, Sunday Times bestseller from the million-copy bestselling author a book by Raynor Winn. (bookshop.org)

The fact that we’ve shared this book before shows our belief in it’s life-reaffirming and hopeful pages. It is a beautiful true-story of hope set to a backdrop of stunning nature that will not fail to draw you in.

Fourth Wing: DISCOVER THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON THAT EVERYONE CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT! a book by Rebecca Yarros. (bookshop.org)

One for the fantasy fans! Another that has received some mixed feedback, especially on social media, but don’t let that put you off – it’s a quick-paced, engaging story that you will fly through (as we did!). Dragons, magic, history and war – it’s got it all.

Postscript a book by Cecelia Ahern. (bookshop.org)

If it’s a classic love story you are craving for your summer break, then how about the follow up to the international bestseller ‘P.S. I Love You’. As a stalwart writer of romantic novels, Cecelia Ahern will not disappoint you.
